Katasa Accessibility Statement

Katasa LLC, doing business as Katasa ("Katasa," "we," "us," or "our"), wants everyone to be able to use our website and work with us, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, captions, or other assistive technology.

Our commitment

We are working toward conforming with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard most widely used to measure whether digital content is accessible. We treat accessibility as part of building and maintaining the site rather than as a one-time project.

We are committing to the effort, not claiming a finished result. We have not completed a formal accessibility audit, and we do not claim that our website fully conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA today. Parts of it very likely fall short. We would rather tell you that plainly and fix what you find than post a claim we cannot stand behind.

What we do

As we build and update the site, we work toward:

  • text, buttons, and controls that meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast levels;
  • pages that can be navigated and operated with a keyboard alone;
  • meaningful text alternatives for images and other non-text content;
  • clear headings, labels, and link text, and forms that name their fields and describe their errors;
  • semantic, standards-based markup so assistive technology can interpret the page; and
  • layouts that hold up when text is resized or the window is small.

We check our work as we go using a combination of automated tools, keyboard testing, and review against the WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. This is self-evaluation, not certification by a third party.

Where we are today

We are in the middle of rebuilding our website, and accessibility is part of that work. Some pages you see now predate that rebuild and are likely to have more issues than the pages that replace them.

We also know of limits we do not fully control:

  • Third-party features. Our site uses services we did not build, such as our support chat widget and payment pages. We choose vendors with accessibility in mind, but we cannot guarantee their accessibility, and their content is governed by their own practices.
  • Linked and downloadable content. Documents we link to, and content on websites we link to, may not meet the same standard. If you need something we have published in a different format, ask us and we will provide it.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of our website, or anything else about working with Katasa, is difficult or impossible for you to use, please tell us. Reports from real people are the most useful information we get, and we welcome them.

  • the page address or where you were on the site;
  • what you were trying to do;
  • what got in your way; and
  • the browser, device, or assistive technology you were using, if you know it.

We read every message, we will get back to you, and we aim to respond quickly. If a fix will take time, we will tell you where it stands. If you would rather not use email, you can reach us through the chat widget on our site or by mail at the address below.

If something on the site is not usable for you, we will find another way to get you what you need. Ask us for the information, a form, a quote, or a document in another format, or ask to handle it by email or by phone instead, and we will work with you to make that happen.
