Katasa Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
We will be straight with you. We try to treat your information the way we would want ours treated: we collect only what we need to run our business and help you, we aim to be clear about what we do with it, and we respect your choices. This policy lays out the details in plain language. It is not written to hide anything, and if something here is unclear, we are glad to explain it.
Katasa LLC, a Colorado limited liability company doing business as Katasa ("Katasa," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to katasa.io and to the personal information we handle in the ordinary course of our business.
If you have any questions, you can reach us at [email protected] or at the address in the "Contact us" section below.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the personal information that Katasa decides how and why to use (in privacy law, the information for which we are the "controller"). That includes visitors to our website, people who contact us or submit a form, and our customers' account and billing information.
One thing this policy does not govern: the data inside your Google Workspace. Katasa is a Google Workspace reseller. When we hold reseller or administrative access to a customer's Google Workspace to bill and support it, we act as that customer's service provider, handling that data only on the customer's instructions and only to deliver and support the service. That data is governed by our Customer Terms of Service (Section 3.3), not by this policy, and we do not use it for our own purposes. Google operates Google Workspace under Google's own terms and privacy commitments.
Information we collect
We collect personal information from two sources: information you give us directly, and information collected automatically when you use our website.
Information you give us. When you contact us or submit a form on our website, we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, email address, and, if you choose to include them, your phone number and a message. When you chat with us through our support widget, we collect the contents of that conversation and the contact details you share. If you become a customer, we also collect the account and billing information needed to set up and manage your service.
Payment information. We use Stripe to process payments and manage billing. You provide your payment details directly to Stripe through Stripe's secure, hosted billing portal, and Stripe processes them under Stripe's own privacy policy, which you can read at https://stripe.com/privacy. We accept payment by credit or debit card and by bank transfer (ACH). For ACH, you can either enter your bank account details or securely connect your bank through Stripe's bank-connection service. In every case, your sensitive payment details, such as your full card number or full bank account number, are handled by Stripe, and Katasa does not have access to them or store them. With your authorization, Stripe securely stores your payment method so we can bill you automatically on a recurring basis. We keep the related billing records, such as your billing contact, plan, and invoice history, as our own business records.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect certain technical information when you visit, using Google Analytics and standard server logs. This may include your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring pages, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits. We use this information to keep the site secure and working and to understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
We do not collect sensitive personal information, such as government-issued identifiers, precise geolocation, health information, or biometric data.
How we use your information
We use the personal information we collect to:
- respond to your inquiries and provide the information or support you request;
- provide, administer, and bill for our services, and manage your account;
- operate, secure, and improve our website and services, including analytics and fraud prevention;
- send you service and account messages, such as billing notices and important updates; and
- comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We do not currently use your personal information for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not build advertising audiences from it. (If that changes, we will update this policy first, and add the choices the law requires before doing so.)
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes: to keep the site functioning and secure, and to understand how visitors use the site through Google Analytics. We do not use advertising or cross-context tracking cookies at this time.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them, though some parts of the site may not work as well if you do. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share personal information only with the service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed for them to perform their work for us. These include:
- Google (website analytics);
- Intercom (our support and chat widget);
- Stripe (payment processing and billing); and
- our website hosting provider (hosting and delivering the site).
These providers are bound by contract to protect the information and to use it only to provide their services to us.
We may also disclose personal information when we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to comply with the law or a legal request, to enforce our agreements, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Katasa, our customers, or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of our business, in which case we will continue to protect the information consistent with this policy.
How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or for as long as the law requires, whichever is longer. In practice:
- Contact and lead form submissions: while we are in contact with you, and up to twenty-four (24) months after our last contact, after which we delete them.
- Support and chat history: up to twenty-four (24) months.
- Website analytics: up to fourteen (14) months.
- Customer billing, financial, and tax records: as long as the law requires, which is typically up to seven (7) years.
When we no longer need personal information, we delete it or remove the details that identify you.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA), the Colorado Privacy Act, and similar laws in other US states. These rights may include the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it, and access a copy of it;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete your personal information;
- receive a portable copy of your information; and
- not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
To make a request, email us at [email protected]. We will verify your request by confirming details we already hold about you, and we will respond within the time the law allows. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, and we may ask for proof of that authorization. If we decline a request, you may ask us to reconsider by replying to our response.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out request where it applies.
Visitors from the EEA and the UK. Katasa is based in the United States and directs its services to US customers. If you visit our site from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we still aim to honor the core rights described above, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. You can contact us at [email protected] with any request or question.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common industry standard for how to interpret it, we do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. We do honor the Global Privacy Control signal as described above.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above, and, if the changes are material, we will provide a more prominent notice. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
